GIGS COMING UP

11th November
The Moon Music Orchestra

The Gladstone
64 Lant St, Borough (Borough tube)
Like an old fashioned folk night- if the participants had been force-fed Fairport Convention and Steely Dan records their whole lives then forced to try and come up with something original. With no drumkit. We'll start at about 8 and play till we're too drunk to standup. There's rumours of a spot from the one and only Pete Hellicar aswell!

As usual check www.myspace.com/robertjesseuk for whats going on. Working on the album which should surface soon. Also preparing some wierd-ass Moon Music Orchestra tunes with that bunch of goofy anglo gypsies which should keep us all sane in these strange times.

OCTOBER 25th/26th

Tolmen International Guitar Symposium

Little guitar and early music festival down in the depths of Cornwall. More info soon.

----------------------------------------------------------

Praise the lord of the seasons, it's spring at last! To commemorate this retreat of the cold north wind we are playing a gig at Bush Hall with John Renbourn and Robin Williamson (Incredible String Band) on the 26th April. The last few cold months have been spent wrapped up warm in Simon's Hackney Wick den recording various people's new material- Barbarossa, Findlay Brown, Nancy Wallace and Daniel Orcese have all been dropping in- followed by a flurry of new solo material from Robert and some strange little tit-bits starting to take shape from that ever-erratic union that is Robert Jesse and Simon Lord. Who knows in what form this will all emerge. We can but wait and see. The main thing is that we can all strip ourselves of our coats, remove these stifling scarves and shake the cold from our bones. It aint hot yet but it definitely is a little less cold and for now that'll just have to do.'
