ECONOMY WOLF' 'Theme For Yellow Kudra'
released in the UK on 18/06/2007
on Trial & Error Recordings

Economy Wolf comprises 5 musicians from London and Paris. They bonded over a shared love of computer game music, French pop and very vast spaces, fascinated in what would happen if these disparate influences were brought together under a haze of droning guitars and feral analogues.
In the summer of 2006 they began writing and recording their debut album, to be released later in the year.

"Theme For Yellow Kudra" is the first release from those sessions and tells the allegorical tale of Yellow Kudra who, after an epic struggle against a mecha-snake in the underworld, returns to life as half-ghost/half-human with extraordinary powers.

The single is accompanied by a video made by award-winning experimental filmmaker Max Hattler (www.maxhattler.com/yellowkudra) and features the contemporary dance of Johannes Ender in a forest in Bavaria. It is currently play-listed on MTV2.

On the B side, the Great Findlay Brown reinterprets the tale of Yellow Kudra in his inimitable folk-style.

Economy Wolf are: James Wignall (guitar, vocals), Ben Cave (analogues, effects, vocals), Jean-Gabriel Becker (keyboards, effects, vocals), Nick Dover (bass), Marc Raue (drums)
