Doloroso are: Rather than pandering to immediacy, they have instead carved out something dark and cinematic which stretches its fingers out across time and space. Crossing the desert and heading for the city, Doloroso constantly shift gear, condensing widescreen soundscapes into noirish rock. Their as yet untitled album will be out sometime in 2006. www.doloroso.co.uk

Simon and assorted hobo genius mates have produced a record that could be loosely described as modern folk music. Simon’s ear for a good tune that served him so well during the Simian years is still in bountiful supply, as is his distinct vocals. But so too is the lateral approach to production that made Simian far more interesting than just another experimental pop act. www.intothegarden.co.uk

Since the release of the well recieved 'Pure & Applied' e.p. in February 2005 Lions & Tigers have been holed-up in their wonky east London Palace, collecting found sounds and recording conversations about castles in Spain and broken hearts in the Arctic Circle - put more simply, writing and producing their debut album. www.lionsandtigers.tv p.s. Lions & Tigers are no more, and have been reborn as Economy Wolf.

When music reaches critical mass, where does one go next? Back to basics, my friend. Instead of reeling shell-shocked and blinded by the implosion of their respective psychedelic combos, Boedekka and Simian, Robert Jesse and Simon Lord independently decided on a return to their earthy, English, acoustic roots. Both concentrated on stripped-down songwriting and guitar playing, Simon forming Garden and Robert performing his own solo material. After all it makes good sense to play to your strengths in confusing times. There is no live schedule, no marketing plan and no advertising budget. This is not an attempt to become the "next big thing" or to shove records down throats. This is simply the sound of two talented musicians exploring their own delicate style of acoustic songwriting and guitar playing, hopefully enchanting those who hear them along the way. Let Robert and Simon lead you back to the source and be reminded about what you found so moving about music in the first place. robert jesse and simon lord mini-site
